Automatic Manifest Filing Submission periods (U.S.)
For certain goods, including container cargo, the loading list Information must be presented to CBP at least 24 hours before a store foreign port. 19 CFR § 4.7 (b) (2). Under the previous regulations, which went into Impact on the second February 2003, certain cargoes (bulk, neo-bulk, and certain General cargo 2) were previously exempt from the reporting requirement. But the new regulations mandate that manifest information on all incoming cargo electronically transmitted to CBP via the AMS. 3 Among the new Regulations, these previously "liberated" bulk and general cargo is not required one filed by electronic cargo manifests 24 hours before the store, but the carriers of such charges must be submitted electronically, as manifest 24 hours before the ship Arrival in the first U.S. port. 4 19 CFR § 4.7 (b) (4). Carriers of such "exempt" Charges must still report 24 hours in advance to load each container or non-exempt cargo transported on the same ship. The requirements must be made as of the date on which electronic submissions can be summarized as follows follows: Type of cargo Qualifier date of receipt of CBP in AMS Containerized N / A 24 hours before loading Breakbulk (non-free) N / A 24 hours before loading Bulk Voyage over 24 hours. Clock 24. prior to arrival at the first U.S. port Bulk Voyage under 24 hours. The time of sailing Breakbulk (free) travel over 24 hours.
