The Office of Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 came into force on 31 October 2000 came, and the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, which will come into effect sometime later this year are the most important pieces of legislation that govern the trade over the Internet.
