1st Product and packaging must be labeled with country of origin 2nd Marking must be conspicuous, legible, indelible, permanent, and in English 3rd Abbreviations must be clear the country of origin (ie "Gt. Britain" is "Great Britain") 4th The adjectival form is permitted if it does not appear in other words, based on a type or types of products (eg "English walnuts," "Brazil nuts") 5th If a change in the United States or the location in the U.S., appears on the item or its packaging, then the country of origin of "Made in" or "Product of" preceded by comparable in size and in letters nearby. Note: Country of Origin is to enter the country of manufacture, production or growth of an article of foreign origin in the United States. |
