•For a vehicleabove 1600cc, it is necessary fortheowner to theIndian Customsthat the vehicle isdetected inthe possessionof the ownerfora periodof at leastone year.Any vehicleunder 1600cc, there is no suchrequirement forminimalpossessionof one year. • For Indian nationals, the passport must reflect a minimum of 2 years of foreign residence. • Who is entitled to import a new vehicle for personal use, regardless of engine size. • duty on the car would have to be paid in foreign convertible currency. • Vehicle should have to meet Euro II emission standards that remain in non-compliance are the sender to re-export the vehicle back to lead the country of origin.
