There are no limits to the amount of duty and / or tax paid alcohol and tobacco, to bring you in the United Kingdom, as long as they are for your own use or gifts and are transported by you. When you bring in alcohol or tobacco and they have reason to believe they could for a commercial purpose, may request an officer Questions and checks. For example, on: the type and quantity of goods you have bought, why you bought them, how to pay for them, whether all your goods are openly displayed or covered, how often you travel, how much you normally smoke or drink, any other relevant circumstances. They tend to ask if you have questions more than: 3200 cigarettes 200 cigars 400 cigarillos 3kg tobacco 110 liters of beer 90 liters of wine 10 liters of spirits 20 liters of fortified wine (such as Port or sherry). Please note that the country where you buy tobacco may have its own laws, how much tobacco can to hold or buy. If you are unsure, check with Authorities of that country before you buy. |
