Default What if the ATA carnet has expired?

If the end-of ATA Carnet a U.S. Carnet is issued, it will be assessed no penalties or obligations by the United States, but it can be assessed penalties by a foreign government if the Carnet has expired before the U.S. product was from this country be exported.

If the carnet is issued abroad then damages from the U.S. Customs Service as a result of the carnet expires before the goods could be considered to be exported from the United States.
