Customs and Border Protection (CBP) collects no state sales tax on goods imported into the U.S. However, CBP will conduct registrations and declarations available to CBP state tax representatives request. Some states require these documents and letters occasionally also to importers and travelers will be notified that they owe the state taxes. |
