Milk, cream, butter, cheese, dairy products
Milk, cream, ice cream, butter and cheese subject to quota restrictions on the number of both CBP and the Department of Agriculture administers.
All dairy products are subject to the Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) requirements. They are also subject to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements.
Milk and cream can not be imported without permission from the FDA. The wrappers or cartons for these products must be printed with the country of origin.
Finally, all commercial imports of products from food and drink to the presentation prior to the announcement by the FDA and foreign manufacturers or distributors of food products must register with the FDA before products can be supported.
(These requirements do not apply to apply to foods they accompany the visitor to the U.S. and sent by a person in the U.S. for personal consumption.)
