The Government of the United States does not reimburse sales tax to foreign visitors. VAT in the U.S. charged to the individual states, not the federal government - the way that VAT is paid in many countries. If you have a major purchase like a car, and you intend to export the object, please contact the state tax authority of the state where you will make the sale, to determine its criteria for pay no sales tax refund. |
