Default Imports of off-road engines, equipment, vehicles (i.e. lawn, garden, and construction equipment) into the U.S

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulates the importation of off-road engines, equipment and vehicles (eg lawn, garden and construction equipment). All imports of these products must meet U.S. emissions standards. delete items that do not conform to U.S. standards do not need to be introduced by an independent Commercial Importer (ICI), and is not by U.S. Customs and Border protection (CBP), until they meet U.S. standards.

To CBP clearance, you must include a completed EPA 3520-21 to CBP forward with your summary (CBP 7501) and / or the purchase contract and bills. Commercial imports of these products require a formal entry and all these documents to be submitted with a CBP bonded. Customs bonds can be requested from a surety company. A list of approved securities to Treasury's Financial Management Service of the site list is identified as the Circular 570th

Meets personal imports of these products may informally, without a commitment to be clarified, but you still need to present the bill of sale and bill of lading (if provided), and EPA Form 3520-21 to CBP will be presented on entry.

Formal and informal entries must be submitted within 15 days after arrival of the goods, otherwise they will be redirected to a general order warehouse (GO) and are subject to change auctioned off after 6 months.
