Default While on a trip, I bought some things to sell when I came back to the U.S. Is that legal?

It's legal, but your personal exemption (usually $ 800) may not apply to goods that you are commercial, ie, resale, used bought for use.

You must either file an informal (if the value of the goods enter $ 2,000 or less) or a formal input to the products in the U.S.
