Default Traveler taking firearm / rifle to Canada to hunt, what are the Canadian requirements?

If you frequently go to Canada to hunt, you can get a possession and acquisition of license. To obtain this license, you must pass the Canadian Firearm Safety Course and pay a $ 60 fee. The license is valid for five years. To arrange to take the course in the U.S., contact the Canadian Firearm Service at 1-877-869-9991. If you do not have a license, you can still enter Canada, but it will take longer to clear Canadian Customs. You must pay a non-resident Firearm Declaration Form (JUS 909 EF) in advance in full or when crossing the border and a $ 50 fee at the border, which can be paid if all 12-month period. The fee is waived for an additional statement within this period. You will receive a confirmation number, which you have the weapon and ammunition is available in Canada. Information on how the possession and acquisition license and forms, visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police website is based, or call 1-800-731-4000 Call. Before leaving the U.S., you should register your gun at a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) CBP office at the 4457th You must use this form to CBP upon your return to the United States currently
