Bona fide, unsolicited gifts are clear CBP Duty-free, as long as its fair market value of no more than $ 100 and the recipient received more than $ 100 worth of gifts in the same day. (See 19 CFR Section 10.152.) There are no mandatory exemption for shipments containing alcohol-based perfume or tobacco products if the entire shipment is worth less than $ 5 retail. (19 CFR 10.153 (e)) The duty-free limit is increased to $ 200 sent fair value for the retail sale bona fide gifts to the United States of U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and American Samoa. The obligation to repeal gifts not to "gifts" sent to themselves or apply E-mail orders from the U.S.. It shall not apply when two or more persons abroad, traveling together mail gifts to each other. But in these cases, the waiver of personal use of $ 200 would apply, which is more than generous renunciation of the gift. |
