Although many travelers, the terms of shipping and mailing used interchangeably, they are not the same. Mailing is always on the international postal system, which is operated jointly by international governments. Shipping and refers to private messengers, the commercial delivery services that promise many times to deliver packages to in record time. Commercial delivery services usually use a customs broker or other agent of the goods by Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a service you pay for in addition to the cost of shipping and to owe no duty or handling fees CBP is clear. (Note) Customs brokers are not employees of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. |
